Leicester Print Workshop

On Saturday 8th June and Sunday 8th September I will be running an introductory workshop to Solarplate, printmaking with sunlight at John Clare Cottage, Helpston. Working with light sensitive plates which can be exposed using natural sunlight and developed using water, participants will learn how to transfer found material, hand drawn imagery and digital photographs into fine art prints. This versatile method of printmaking can be used to create blind emboss, relief and intaglio prints. This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience of printmaking.
