I have been invited to run a family print workshop on behalf of Inspire at the Reading Room in Weston Colville on the 22nd May 2011 between 2:30pm and 5pm.We will be making prints from objects collected by people of the village of Weston Colville as part of Inspire's heritage lottery funded project 'Sharing Stories'. This workshop is associated with previous run workshops by artist, Kate Murdoch and poet, Clare Crossman. These workshops explored the personal and historical significance of the objects.
Sharing Stories is a Heritage Lottery funded project centred around the village of Weston Colville in South Canbridgeshire. The project aims to encourage a shared understanding and celebration of people's lives, past and present and to record this for future generations.
From Spring 2010 to Autumn 2011 the residents of Weston Colville and the surrounding area will have the opportunity to participate in a programme of free events, talks and creative workshops for all ages, to record and share their stories of life in the village.
The project will culminate in a final celebration and exhibition in July 2011.
