Engage in the visual arts at the Tate Exchange
20-22nd March 2017
I recently contributed to an event at the Tate Exchange, at the switch building, Tate Modern as a member and delegate of Engage, the National Association of Gallery Education. The peer learning event allowed arts facilitators, freelance educators, learning officers and Heads of Education working within Gallery Education and the wider community from across the UK and Europe to come together and share current practice and ideas.
I enjoyed sharing my skills, knowledge and experiences working as an arts practitioner and devising creative workshops for a wide audience, including school children, art students, teachers, community groups, as well as museums and galleries. As part of my presentation, I delivered a short talk and practical demonstration about a new and versatile method of printmaking, Printmaking with Photopolymer Plates /Solarplate, which uses natural sunlight and water.
